Project presentation for evaluation

 

The project "New artistic potential in improvisational use of composition techniques – a new computer instrument for the performing musician" is part of the research program for artistic development. It explores the artistic potential in the cross-over between real time composition and improvisation. A computer based instrument that facilitates improvisational exploitation of composition techniques is developed as part of the project.

 

The documentation for the project will be submitted in two parts; Artistic documentation and Written reflection, to be evaluated separately. The evaluation date for the artistic documentation is set to December the 1st 2007, and the evaluation date for the written reflection and the project in full is set to February the 2nd 2008.

 

Disclaimer:

Submission dates for documentation is November 11th 2007, December 1st 2007, January 13th 2008. The artistic documentation are submitted on November the 11th, and a live performance held December the 1st. The live performance is considered part of the artistic documentation. The written reflection is submitted on January the 13th 2008. When reading this document at a date before January the 13th 2008, it is important to keep in mind what parts of the documentation are supposed to be included at the given date. After the last submission date, the document can be considered a complete representation of the project documentation.

This division of material submission is done in accordance with guidelines given from the board of the research project.
